Single Calls
A single call places one outbound call using an assistant of your choice. This is the fastest way to test an assistant or make a one-off call.
Making a Call
Step 1: Navigate to Single Calls
- Click Calls in the sidebar
- Click Single Call (or navigate directly to
/console/calls/single)
Step 2: Select an Assistant
Choose the assistant that will handle the conversation from the Assistant dropdown. Assistants are configured under AI Agents.
Test before campaigns
Always test a new assistant by calling yourself before running it against a contact list.
Step 3: Select a Phone Number
Choose which of your phone numbers to call from. This is the number the recipient sees as the caller ID.
Required
You must have at least one active phone number to make outbound calls. Purchase one under Phone Numbers.
Step 4: Enter the Recipient's Number
Enter the phone number to call in E.164 format (e.g. +15551234567). The field validates the format as you type.
Step 5: Enter Call Variables (Optional)
If your assistant uses variables, fill them in before placing the call. Variables are shown based on your assistant's configuration — for example firstName, company, or appointmentDate.
Variable values are passed to the assistant when the call starts and are available throughout the conversation.
Step 6: Start the Call
Click Start Call. The call is queued and dispatched immediately. You can monitor its progress in Call History.
After the Call
Navigate to Call History to see the outcome, duration, cost, transcript, and recording (if enabled).
