Adding Phone Numbers
Navigate to Phone Numbers in the sidebar and click Add Phone Number.
Step 1: Search for a Number
Use the search filters to find available numbers:

| Contains | Optional — filter by digits you want in the number (e.g., 415, 617) |
| Type | Local, Toll-free, Mobile, or All |
Click Search Numbers to see available results. Each result shows the phone number, type, location, and its supported capabilities (Voice, SMS, MMS).
Click Select on the number you want.
Step 2: Configure the Number
After selecting a number you can optionally:
- Give it a name — A label to help identify the number in your account (e.g., "Sales Line")
- Assign it to an assistant — Pre-associate the number with a specific assistant so it is auto-selected when making calls
Both fields are optional. You can update these at any time from the phone numbers list.
Step 3: Purchase
Click Add Number. The cost is deducted from your prepaid balance and the number appears in your list immediately.
If your plan's included number is already in use, you'll be prompted to confirm the $10/month add-on before the purchase completes.
Troubleshooting
"Insufficient balance" Add funds under Settings → Billing before purchasing.
"No numbers available" Try a different country, type, or a different value in the Contains field. Availability refreshes periodically.
"Plan limit reached" Your current plan cannot add more phone numbers. Upgrade your plan to continue.
