Removing Team Members

This guide explains how to remove team members from your organization when they leave or no longer need access.

Who Can Remove Members

Only the Owner can remove team members.

Cannot Remove Owner

The Owner cannot be removed. To transfer ownership, promote another member to Owner from the team settings.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to Users

  1. Click Users in the sidebar
  2. Find the member to remove

Step 2: Initiate Removal

  1. Click the ... menu next to their name
  2. Select Remove from Organization

Step 3: Confirm

  1. Review the warning message
  2. Click Remove Member
  3. Access is revoked immediately

What Happens When Removed

Immediate Effects

  • Access revoked instantly
  • Cannot log in to your organization
  • Active sessions terminated
  • Cannot view any organization data

Their Account

The removed person:

  • Still has a Voxifi account
  • Can create or join another organization
  • Cannot access your organization's data
  • Would need a new invitation to rejoin

Removing Multiple Members

To remove several members:

  1. Remove one at a time
  2. Each removal requires confirmation

Re-inviting a Removed Member

If you need to bring someone back:

  1. Send a new invitation
  2. They use the same account
  3. Assign the appropriate role
  4. Their previous data remains attributed to them

Before Removing

Consider:

  • Do they have any ongoing work?
  • Should someone take over their responsibilities?

  • Viewable by all team members in the audit log
